Leaving On A Jet Plane
Jay had just gone to China for a week. We've been really lucky and he hasn't been there for a year, but it seems really weird not having him around, I'm not going to be able to phone him for 24 hours! The kids are OK, not sure they really understand. Jay went golfing a couple if days ago and when he got back Josh asked if he'd been to China, he'd only been gone a few hours! I think that may be because Josh is expecting a pressie when his Dad gets back though! Abi is oblivious at the moment, but I know she'll miss him soon.
Josh enjoyed his first few days at school. I had a school dinner with him on Thursday which was yummy, but Josh wasn't impressed. He is so fussy, I am just going to make him sandwiches. He is stopping for lunch this week, then is full time the week after. Abi starts Playgroup tomorrow, I reckon she'll love it as much as Josh did. I imagine I'll be tidying the house up as I haven't had both of them out the house at once for months!!!
We took the kids to Drayton Manor on Friday afternoon. Josh finished at 12 noon, and we were there by 12.45pm so we had a good few hours there. It was empty so we got to go on loads of things! No photo's today though, sorry!

Sounds like Josh is settling in well at school, hope he enjoys going full time.
Chloe has packed lunches too as she won't eat the school dinners and at £2.70 a day it was a waste of money.

Sometimes it's no fun when the men are away is it? Sean got out of a China trip earlier this month, it sounds exotic but I bet it's not much fun for the one who has to go. Hope the kids behave for you!
School dinners here are fab (the girls' school won the best in Norfolk title) but portions are meagre and they cost £1.85, I'm wondering if Bec meant £1.70???!!! Though thinking of things to pack in a lunch box REALLY taxes my brain!

Hope you managed the week ok on your own Sue, plenty of girly films and long lengthy chats on the phone in the evenings?? Glad to hear Josh is getting on well at School, it must be weird having the place to just you & Abi all day after the summer, but bet you're enjoying it really?!

How did you get on, on your own, Sue? Michael mentioned in passing last week that he would be going to China soon to go and interview students for their courses this year and that it would become a regular thing....
Glad Josh is enjoying school.
